This event will recap the achievements and challenges of the past year, and assess the current landscape of California’s craft spirits industry. It also serves as a chance to connect with the community and actively contribute to the future vision of the Association.
All distillers who intend to ship spirits directly to consumers in California will need to apply for Distilled Spirits Direct Shipper Permit (Type 94). Beginning January 1st, 2026 this annual permit is required to continue shipping spirits in California.
The California Distillers Association is actively working to extend DTC shipping which is set to expire December 31st, 2026. JOIN OR RENEW today to help advance market access reforms.

The California Distillers Association (CDA) is proud to announce it has been awarded a $470,000 grant through the California Department of Food and Agriculture’s (CDFA) 2025 Specialty Crop Block Grant Program. This innovative, three-year marketing initiative will promote California specialty crops by connecting consumers to craft distilleries that feature locally grown ingredients, supporting farmers, craft distillers and the broader specialty crop industry statewide.
